There is a Leper colony in Koratty near Angamaly under the State Government. About 400 lepers are living there. Most of them had lost their fingers or toes due to the disease. They are living in misery and no one to look after them. They cannot go back to their home. They are let alone by the society and family. We came to know about them and started gospel work at leper colony, Koratty in Thrissur district on 30th September 2006. Every week a group of pastors from Emmanuel Orphanage visit them and share gospel. They pray for the lepers and also distribute food for them..

Now we are visiting this place twice a week that is on Wednesday and Sunday. On Wednesday we visit every ward and share the gospel and pray for them. On Sunday we conduct worship service. More than 20 people are regularly attending these meetings. Most of the lepers there are dependents and cannot do their work themselves.

They need medicines and cloths. In the last year we spent Rs. 25,000 for them to buy woolen cloths, sandals, shoes, umbrellas, vessels for eating food, electrical light, tube bulb, flask etc. But now we are in a financial crisis and unable to satisfy their need. In addition to sharing the gospels, we would like to help them in satisfying their basic needs. They need woolen clothes to overcome the winter season. Some of the patients are unable to wash their clothes as they have no fingers. So they need some washing machines. Pr. Jain and Pr. Poul Krishnan are rendering their service there. If you help them you will be blessed by the heavenly God.
